Arsenal now racing Man Utd to sign record-breaking Kennet Eichhorn this summer

Arsenal and Manchester United are now set to lock horns off the pitch in pursuit of a record-breaking sensation from the Bundesliga this summer.

Fabian Hurzeler was the first person to accuse Arsenal of winning ugly on Wednesday night, as the Gunners turned to their pragmatic approach to take full advantage in the Premier League title race.

Mikel Arteta doesn’t seem to be too concerned what the Brighton manager thinks, however, having told reporters at full-time when told about the comments: “What a surprise. If you go back through previous games you will find a lot of comments like this, always.

“I love my players. That’s the highlight. I love my players and I love the way we compete. When you’re in the position we are in, obviously (opposition fans) want to take that away from you. That’s normal, that is sport.”

He’s become a key man for Arteta.

With eight games to go, the Gunners are now seven points clear of Manchester City, who have one game in hand. It’s not over yet, but Wednesday’s action could prove to be the night that signalled the biggest belief yet that Arsenal are destined to take the English crown.

Once they’ve got it, they’re unlikely to rest on their laurels, though. Recent reports have claimed that Andrea Berta is already seeking summer reinforcements.

Names such as Mateus Mane have threatened to steal the headlines in recent weeks and it’s clear that those in North London are focusing on another injection of youth.

Alongside the Wolverhampton Wanderers star, the Gunners have also set their sights on a record-breaking Bundesliga midfielder ahead of the summer transfer window.

Arsenal targeting Kennet Eichhorn move

As reported by Christian Falk, Arsenal are now racing Man United to sign Kennet Eichhorn from Hertha Berlin this summer. The midfielder became the youngest player to ever start a 2. Bundesliga game at just 16 years and 48 days old and could now be on his way to break more records in the Premier League.

Dubbed “special” by talent scout Jacek Kulig, Eichhorn is destined to become one of the most sought-after midfielders in European football if he continues his rapid rise.

Alongside Arsenal and Man United, the teenager is also reportedly on Bayern Munich’s radar as the Bundesliga giants look to snap up a German talent in vintage fashion.

Arsenal edged past Brighton to take hold of the title race but it wasn’t pretty.

The ball is in Eichhorn’s court, who could have a big decision to make when the summer arrives. At just 16, the world is at the feet of the midfielder.
