“Luka just told me the other day, he has lost another 7 pounds,” the anonymous friend said. “On top of what he already dropped this season, he is now moving like a completely different player.”
“He feels light on his feet, his explosiveness is back, and most importantly, that stinging pain in his right calf that troubled him so much back in 2024 is completely gone. He says he is fully healthy heading into the playoffs, and you can hear the confidence in his voice.”
The Lakers (48-26) have clinched a playoff spot and are in third place in the super competitive Western Conference standings.

However, Doncic dropped two places in NBA.com’s MVP ladder this week. The six-time All-Star lost his place to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the league’s reigning MVP. Victor Wembanyama dethroned the Thunder star from the top spot in the rankings,
Nikola Jokic jumped back on the ladder to grab third place in the rankings. The Lakers are playing the Washington Wizards next on Monday. However, Luka Doncic will not be participating in the game as he is on a one-game suspension after grabbing his 16th technical foul of the season.
