This particular April Fools snapshot is called 20w14infinite, or 20w14~ in the game. The most fascinating feature of this snapshot was that it created new procedurally generated dimensions; hence, the infinite theme. The snapshot was able to create thousands of unique dimensions by randomizing existing features.

Some dimensions had brand-new biomes made from blocks that are usually not used for world generation. For example, one dimension can only consist of bookshelves. A few dimensions will even have weather disabled, or completely randomize which structure generates in which biome.

Because of infinite possibilities, it is definitely a great April Fools snapshot to play even in 2026.

In 2024, Mojang released the infamous Poisonous Potato update. This was Minecraft April Fools snapshot version 24w13potato that added a full-fledged poisonous potato dimension to the game.

The new dimension was filled with a large variety of blocks and even different biomes. From blocks of potato peels to potato gold ore, everything was inspired by the rotten food item. There was even a full armor set, weapons, a magic staff, and even a grappling hook made up of poisonous potatoes.

To top it all off, the dimension had brand new creatures like batato, poisonous potato zombie, toxifin slab, plaguewhale slab, and mega spud boss mob. Apart from these special mobs, every other regular mob received a new poisonous potato variant as well.
