AEW announced on social media this week that Darby Allin will defend his AEW World Championship against a former WWE star next week on Dynamite. That news caught the attention of the pro-wrestling fans, and people were hyped up to see what Tony Khan had in store for this match. Ahead of the Dynamite episode, the former WWE star went on to post a bold message for the fans.
The star is the 2-time NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa, who has also been a 2-time WWE Tag Team and a 1-time NXT Tag Team Champion in WWE. Darby Allin won the AEW World Championship on Dynamite this week. He promised to be a fighting champion. Therefore, All Elite Wrestling announced that next week, Allin will square off against Ciampa in a world title match on Dynamite.
Taking to Instagram, The Psycho Killer posted his latest render while calling himself the new AEW World Champion. It was a message filled with confidence, showcasing the spirit of the former WWE star ahead of his showdown with Darby Allin next week.
“Your next AEW World Champion,” wrote Ciampa.

Over the past few weeks, Ciampa has taken a dip in his momentum. Therefore, it is a big match for him to solidify his position in All Elite Wrestling. With that said, it will be interesting to see what Tony Khan has planned for the former WWE star next week from here on.
MJF to get involved in Tommaso Ciampa vs. Darby Allin next week on AEW Dynamite?
MJF has been very frustrated since losing his World Championship on Dynamite. He was even against the next week’s match between Tommaso Ciampa and Darby Allin, and he went on to express his resentment on social media. Therefore, there is a good possibility that Friedman could get involved in Ciampa vs. Allin next week.
The Salt of the Earth is not someone who waits for any sort of opportunity. He is the type of personality who gets what he wants, and currently, he wants the World Championship. As a result, he may interfere in next week’s match between Allin and Ciampa that could end the showdown in a no-contest.
Besides, there are reports that MJF is in focus to be involved in the main event of the Double or Nothing show next month. It means that somehow, Friedman is getting his rematch for the world championship. Therefore, it is pretty unlikely that a title change would happen next week on Dynamite.
