Having joined the Philadelphia Phillies in 2024, Jesus Luzardo has established himself as an important arm in the team’s starting rotation. After a solid 2025 season, the organization rewarded him with a five-year, $135 million contract extension in March.

Over the years, Jesus Luzardo‘s sister, Diana, has often shown she is her brother’s biggest fan. She regularly makes trips to the ballpark to cheer for him as he takes the mound.
She was also in attendance when he made his big league debut with the Athletics back in 2019. Shortly after Jesus’ first appearance, she posted a heartfelt note to Instagram.
“Here’s to all the times you struck me out playing baseball in your room, all the yellow Gatorades you made me bring to the dugout, the triple headers in the Florida heat, and those long car rides home with dad going over every single detail from the game. I would go back and do it all over again if I could, this is only the beginning for you little twerp I love you 🐒♥️,” Diana Luzardo posted.
Jesus Luzardo spent two and a half years with the A’s, before he was traded to Miami Marlins. After struggling in his first season, he picked up the pace and cemented himself as a vital player for the team.
The Phillies came calling ahead of the 2025 season, and Luzardo has been a fan-favorite at Citizen’s Bank Park ever since.
