The ending of Euphoria Season 3 revolves around Rue Bennett’s fate and the ripple effects it has on everyone around her. After surviving countless dangers throughout the season, Rue appears to finally find a moment of peace. She recovers from her injuries at Ali’s home and even dreams of reuniting with Fezco after his reported escape. For a brief moment, things seem hopeful. Then reality changes.
The finale reveals that Rue unknowingly took fentanyl-laced pills given to her by Alamo, who claimed they would help with her pain. The scenes of Rue visiting her mother and searching for Fez are later revealed to be part of a dream.
The next morning, Ali discovers her lifeless body on the couch. Her death becomes the emotional centerpiece of Euphoria Season 3 and brings her long struggle with addiction to a tragic end.
A grieving Ali takes immediate action to avenge Rue’s untimely passing. He tracks down the drug circle to uncover the truth. Ali shoots G at a local strip club during his investigation. He then corners Alamo in a dramatic, high-stakes final duel.
