Rapper 50 Cent’s ex, Daphne Joy, issued a response after an alleged explicit video surfaced online that purportedly featured her alongside an adult film performer and Sean “Diddy” Combs. The video stirred a buzz on the internet, prompting the model to share her side of the story. On Monday, she addressed the alleged video in a lengthy statement posted to her Threads account.
Pop culture podcaster Perez Hilton discussed Daphne Joy’s statement in his June 1 blog post. In her post, the model reflected on the past and said she was the “biggest fool.” She went on to say that because she was in “love.” However, she added that she later realized it was not love.
Joy added that the alleged explicit video was not shot with her consent and also asserted that “the person in the video” blackmailed her and asked for money. She added that she was “not in her right mind” at the time.
Perez Hilton reacted to the statement and said:
“We continue to send all the love and light in the world to Daphne.”
Elsewhere in the blog, Hilton pointed out that Daphne Joy was mentioned in Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones’ 2024 lawsuit against Diddy. According to Forbes, Lil Rod named Joy as one of the women whom Combs allegedly hired as s*x workers. At the time, the model denied the allegations.

In her statement, Daphne Joy seemingly referred to Diddy and said that she just wanted to fulfil “his desires” even if that made her break her “own boundaries.” She stressed that she “deeply loved him” and believed that the rapper loved her too. Daphne Joy added that it was “painful” for her to “process the harsh reality” of that relationship. She further addressed the alleged explicit tape that recently surfaced and wrote:
“The recent leak was a tape I never consented to being filmed on. I was blackmailed by the person in the video and was threatened that if I didn’t give him the lump sum of money that they would leak it on the web … I almost gave in to this demand and once I didn’t, this person eventually sold this tape to a giant media outlet.”
Joy added that the media outlet contacted her before releasing the tape and asked for her comment. She claimed that she “fainted” after learning it. The model thanked the anonymous outlet for not releasing the video.
“Once the media company understood the tape they purchased was revenge p**n and an extortion scheme, they backed off from broadcasting it. I know they are probably reading this and I want to say thank you for doing the right thing .. even though years later .. it’s come back to haunt me again,” she added.
Daphne Joy reportedly said that watching the alleged tape was “triggering and painful” for her.
50 Cent, who shares a son with Joy, also shared his reaction after the tape surfaced. The rapper shared a screenshot seemingly from the alleged tape and wrote that “she’s not a victim,” but their son SIRE is.
