GTA 6 “Walkthrough” video on YouTube hit by Take-Two DMCA strike

Take-Two Interactive recently took down a YouTube stream named “GTA 6 Walkthrough Gameplay”. It was hit with a copyright claim and was immediately taken down. It is quite a mysterious stream since hardly anyone had watched it before it was taken down. Furthermore, Take-Two Interactive’s copyright claim piqued fans’ interest.

Here are more details about the recently copyright-striked video, which was claimed to be the game’s walkthrough.

Take-Two DMCA strikes a GTA 6 “Walkthrough” stream on YouTube

On June 15, 2026, a YouTube channel named @vepko1 started streaming GTA 6 Walkthrough Gameplay and added “Part 1” to the title as well. This meant that the creator was planning to make it into a multi-part series.

Since the channel only had 51 subscribers at the time, the stream was only able to accrue two views before it was taken down. Hence, hardly anyone knows what it contained.

Soon after Take-Two Interactive took it down, it quickly went viral on various social media platforms. Fans speculated what could be in the stream that prompted such a fast DMCA strike. The channel experienced a massive influx of new subscribers, increasing its count to 456.

One of the main reasons why the now-deleted stream has quickly gained traction is because of how quickly it was taken down by Take-Two Interactive. Though YouTube usually automatically strikes videos and streams for copyright infringement, this particular takedown was even quicker than normal.

A reputed member of the GTA 6 mapping project, Saukko505, commented that the stream could have included clips from the 2022 leaks, which automatically get flagged on the platform. The mapping project member further added that this account has uploaded fake leaks in the past as well.

It is bizarre to see fans reportedly creating walkthrough videos of a game that is still five months away from release. Rockstar Games’ title is set to release on November 19, 2026. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has also confirmed that the game’s marketing will begin in the summer, which starts on June 21, 2026.
