Toronto Blue Jays slugger Vladimir Guerrero Jr. caught the spotlight for his reaction during their 7-4 loss against the Texas Rangers in the third game of the series on Saturday.
During the sixth inning, Boe Jays catcher Alejandro Kirk smashed a solo home run to make it 7-3. As Kirk rounded the bases, Guerrero stood outside the dugout to give him the home run jacket.
However, Kirk walked past the Blue Jays infielder without paying attention to his teammate. Guerrero was left bemused with Kirk’s snub and the video of the incident garnered more than 1.5 million views.

Kirk, who has struggled with injuries this season, went deep for just the second time this season on Saturday. He registered his 500th career hit in the process. Meanwhile, Guerrero went hitless on the night.
Kirk’s milestone hit didn’t change the outcome of the game as the Blue Jays fell for a third consecutive defeat against the Rangers. They hope to avoid a series sweep and a sixth consecutive defeat in Sunday’s series finale.
Blue Jays strengthen roster by trading for Alejandro Kirk’s potential backup
The Blue Jays strengthen the catching depth by trading for backstop Owen Carapellotti from the Athletics in exchange for right-handed pitcher Hayden Juenger after Saturday’s defeat against the Rangers. Carapelloti is expected to be the backup for Alejandro and Brandon Venezuela in Toronto.
The 23-year-old prospect batted .289/.403/.565 in four seasons as Georgetown’s catcher, but went undrafted last year. However, he slashed .267/.389/.627 with eight homers in 90 plate appearances for Low-A Stockton this season.
