Kevin Owens has reacted to CM Punk dethroning Sami Zayn for the Undisputed WWE Championship. Punk returned to WWE on this week’s Monday Night RAW and immediately won the title.
Zayn held the title for 9 days after dethroning Cody Rhodes at the Night of Champions Premium Live Event. The match also included Gunther, who once again failed to win the Undisputed WWE Championship.

Originally, Sami Zayn was set to defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes on this week’s RAW. Rhodes defeated Jey Uso on last week’s SmackDown to become the #1 contender for the title he lost at Night of Champions. However, backstage on this week’s RAW, he was ambushed by Gunther.
This eventually led to Punk’s return to WWE for the first time since he lost the WWE World Heavyweight Championship to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 42.

Kevin Owens had a heartfelt message in store for Sami Zayn after he became the Undisputed WWE Champion. The two have been best friends for years and have also stood across the ring from each other on several occasions.
On social media, Owens claimed that he missed a lot of things over the last 15 months due to his injury, but wished he had been present for Sami Zayn‘s title win.
“I’ve missed a lot of things I wish I hadn’t in the last 15 months because of this injury but today is, by far, the one I wish I had been there for the most. He has brought out the best in me as both an ally and a foe. That’s because he is THE best. When you’re consistently that good for that long, you become undeniable. Sami becoming WWE Champion was inevitable. He has deserved that moment for a very long time and I am so happy to see him finally get it. Now enjoy these pictures of me annoying him at various stages of our careers. The last one is him putting on my sock in a hotel room in the middle of nowhere in Texas because I thought I had broken my back the night before and could not move. He had to help me put on my boxers too. Look how happy he is… Now tell me he doesn’t deserve to be champion! @SamiZayn,”
Sami Zayn could find himself challenging CM Punk for the Undisputed WWE Championship once again if WWE decides to continue their feud.
