“They out uh?” – DJ Khalid left surprised as his FIFA World Cup winners pick get knocked out, selects new side

DJ Khalid expressed his surprise at knowing that Morocco, his pick to win the 2026 FIFA World Cup, are already out as he picked a new team to go all the way in North America this summer.

The Atlas Lions made history at the previous edition in Qatar four years ago, beating 2016 Euro winners Portugal 1-0 to become the first African team to reach the FIFA World Cup semi-finals, where they lost 2-0 to France.

Four years later, Mohamed Ouahbi’s side beat three-time finalists Netherlands on penalties in the Round of 16 and co-hosts Canada 3-0. However, they met their match in Les Bleus, who won 2-0, in the first quarter-final on Thursday (July 9) at Boston Stadium, Foxborough.

DJ Khalid, seemingly unaware of the reigning African champions’ World Cup exit, picked them to win the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Here’s how he responded on learning about the Atlas Lions’ exit before picking France to emerge victorious:
