Fans Confused at Steve Kerr Saying Dubs “Got” LeBron James 


LeBron James has the NBA world waiting on him as the free agent continues to deliberate over his next team. However, Steve Kerr left fans confused on Wednesday after saying the Warriors had already “got” the former Lakers star, as James’ future remains one of the biggest storylines this offseason.

The Golden State headcoach, made the revelation during a quick chat with fans in traffic. Legion Hoops shared a clip of the exchange on X (formerly Twitter), quoting Kerr’s remarks.

“Steve Kerr to a Warriors fan asking for them to sign LeBron James: ‘Oh we got him,'” Legion Hoops wrote, quoting Kerr.

In the clip, Kerr appeared to greet Warriors fans at a traffic stop, who encouraged their coach to sign James. In response, Kerr claimed they had already “got” the former NBA champion and that the fans should post his comments on “Twitter.”

After the clip was shared online, fans were left puzzled by Kerr’s remarks as they debated in the comments on Legion Hoops’ post whether the King was headed to Golden State.

“LeBron forcing me to watch the Warriors after I’ve despised them for the last 10 years,” a fan wrote.

The update comes as a setback for Warriors fans, who have hoped to see James join Stephen Curry in Golden State, especially after the team lost Jonathan Kuminga to the Hawks in February.
