Real Madrid will reportedly not make a bid for Bayern Munich star Michael Olise unless he makes the first move. They want him to go public about his desire to leave the Bundesliga champions this summer.
According to Arancha RodrÃguez, Real Madrid are keen on signing Olise, but are unlikely to launch a move. They want to maintain their good relationship with Bayern Munich and are not working on an approach.

However, they will pounce on any chance to sign the winger, as long as he makes a public statement about his desire to join them. The report comes just a day after L’Equipe stated that the Frenchman has told his entourage and national teammates that he wants to make the switch.
Los Blancos released a statement earlier this summer, saying that they were distancing themselves from all reports about a possible move for Olise. They repeatedly stated that the relationship with the German side was of respect and they did not wish to ruin it.
“In view of the information that has appeared in various media about an alleged interest of our club in the Bayern Munich player Michael Olise, Real Madrid C. F. wishes to state that it has not maintained any direct or indirect contact with the aforementioned footballer, his representatives or people around him. Real Madrid would also like to highlight the excellent institutional relationship it has with Bayern Munich, with whom it shares a long history of mutual respect, collaboration and admiration, and regrets the spread of speculation that does not correspond to reality.”
“Both clubs have always maintained a relationship based on trust and mutual respect, which is reflected, among other aspects, in the shared conviction that any possible interest in a player belonging to the other club must be dealt with first and foremost between the entities themselves, in accordance with the principles of institutional loyalty that have historically presided over relations between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.”
Los Blancos seem to be sticking to their word, but are still keeping tabs on the winger’s plans.
Real Madrid preparing world-record bid for Michael Olise
Real Madrid are keen on bolstering their squad and see Olise as the ideal addition this summer. Jose Mourinho has reportedly asked for the winger, and Los Blancos are working on a bid.
Reports earlier this summer stated that they were ready to break the €222 million record fee and offer Bayern Munich a €190 million fixed fee, with another €33 million in add-ons.
