Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns will be battling it out at SummerSlam with Reigns’ World Heavyweight Title on the line. The two men share a storied history as partners and rivals but are currently locked in an intense feud that has been escalating weekly on WWE TV.
At Saturday Night’s Main Event XLV in the most famous arena in the world, Madison Square Garden, Roman Reigns stood tall in the end after embarrassing Seth Rollins. Reigns began the segment by presenting New York Knicks MVP Jalen Burnson with a custom World Heavyweight Title belt. Seth Rollins’ music hit, and to everyone’s surprise, Tyrese Haliburton of the Indiana Pacers, who are the Knicks’ rivals, came out with a steel chair to interrupt the promo.

Seth Rollins then came in from behind to attack Roman Reigns, but before the Architect could lay a curb stomp on the OTC, Burnson stood in his way. The distraction was enough to allow Reigns to land a massive Superman punch and spear on Rollins.
As Reigns stood tall in the ring with Burson and both men held their titles high, Rollins and Haliburton had to scurry away. Now Rollins will have to plot a comeback on Monday Night RAW, and in this article, we look at 3 things he can do on the next RAW episode to get back at the OTC, especially because Reigns isn’t going to show up in it.
#3. Seth Rollins can call Roman Reigns out for being a part-timer again
Despite his massive fan following and the positive reception he gets, Roman Reigns has been criticised for not showing up on every episode of the flagship show, Monday Night RAW, as he needs to, especially since he’s the top champion.
Superstars who feud with Reigns regularly use this as a common insult to draw heat. CM Punk, with whom Reigns feuded leading into WrestleMania 42, made sure to rub it in Reigns’ face that he was the one making sure to show up every week and not the OTC.
Rollins has already used this tactic while cutting promos about Reigns on RAW, but can use Reigns’ confirmed absence tomorrow to add further salt to the wound
#2. Seth Rollins can provoke the Bloodline members
The Bloodline has recently been reformed by Roman Reigns, and the faction consists of Reigns, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, and Jacob Fatu. The faction has recently tried to add Solo Sikoa to it, but Sikoa has refused owing to his hatred for them and is feuding with the faction instead. He has two unlikely allies in the form of LA Knight and Royce Keys, and they all share a common enemy in the Bloodline.
Seth Rollins can provoke the Bloodline members to continue getting under Roman Reigns’ skin and building up the rivalry. He can talk about how Reigns has the Bloodline do all of his work for him, like hired guns, because the OTC can’t show up and do it himself.
If Rollins makes such statements and successfully provokes the Bloodline and they confront him, he’ll have backup with Sikoa, Knight, and Keys, who can come out to level the playing field.
#1. He can prove to Roman that he’s a hater
During the contract signing for their SummerSlam match last Monday on RAW, the two men threw all sorts of barbs at each other in what was a heated and entertaining segment.
Some insults were funny, some genuinely provocative, and some cut deep into both men’s emotional core. One such comment Reigns made on Rollins during the promo was by calling the Visionary a “hater,” and saying that’s all he knew how to do. Rollins took this personally and eventually attacked Reigns on the night, standing tall after that episode of the show. He later took to social media to taunt Reigns with the comments he had made against the Architect.
It would make sense for Seth Rollins to push back hard on Roman Reigns with these words that have been spoken, as the Visionary has been trying hard to prove to everyone that he is one of the most hard-working, dedicated, and grinding workhorses in wrestling, only for the OTC to simply label him as someone who complains a lot and hates on others’ success.
He can double down on the fact that he is a hater, claiming that he hates that Reigns hasn’t attended the program to face him, and also hates that he keeps getting love from fans despite not showing up to shows. This could help build tension for when Reigns returns on the go-home episode of RAW before SummerSlam and build enough animosity between the two stars just in time for the bout.
Seth Rollins can also do this by turning on the fans as a “hater” and turning heel in the process. A babyface Reigns vs. a heel Rollins will make for an intriguing title match at the Biggest Party of the Summer instead of both men being tweeners.
