“LIVING PROOF” – Mike Santana breaks the internet with WWE Debut

Mike Santana made his debut on the latest episode of WWE NXT when he came out during the closing moments of the show while Tony D’Angelo was standing in the ring. Santana made a name for himself as one of the most popular main event talent in TNA Wrestling over the last few years. His contract with the Nashville-based company expired recently and fans had been expecting him to join the Entertainment Juggernaut.

Santana joined TNA Wrestling for the first time back in 2017 and stayed there for nearly 2 years. During this run, he captured the promotion’s World Tag Team titles alongside Ortiz. The duo then joined All Elite Wrestling and joined Chris Jericho’s Inner Circle stable. Santana left AEW back in 2024 and joined TNA Wrestling again and started feuding with the System. Mike Santana captured the TNA World Championship twice during this run before leaving the company recently.

He made his WWE NXT debut on the latest episode of the developmental show. The NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo had been feuding with former IWGP World Champion Naraku (fka EVIL) over the past few weeks. The two stars settled their differences on this week’s NXT after Tony defeated Naraku in a Street Fight for his title. As Tony was celebrating his victory in the ring, he was interrupted by the debut of Mike Santana who marched in from the crowd.

Santana’s NXT debut broke the internet as it creates a lot of buzz on the internet. The clip of his debut posted on WWE’s Official X handle has garnered 2.8 Million views in less than 12 hours. It is a huge number and the former TNA World Champion reacted to this via his X account.

“2M views in less than 24 HOURS. ; When you want something for yourself, YOU make it happen. ; Living proof, EVERY SINGLE DAY.”

Fans are excited to see what is next for the Puerto-Rican star in the Stamford-based company.

Matt Hardy had already predicted that Mike Santana will join WWE

Matt Hardy is currently reigning as one-half of the TNA World Tag Team Champions alongside his brother Jeff Hardy. The brotherly duo is one of the most legendary tag teams in WWE history. In a recent interview with Extreme Life podcast, Matt was asked if Santana could sign with the Stamford-based company following the expiration of his contract with TNA. Hardy responded by saying Santana has always wanted to work there and it wouldn’t surprise him.

“I mean that, that, that wouldn’t surprise me. I would guess that’s probably Mike Santana’s ultimate goal [is] to work for WWE. You know, most kids who grew up loving wrestling, their goal is to work for WWE at some point, have a WrestleMania moment, whatever else. That wouldn’t shock me at all.” [H:T/F4WOnline]

Matt Hardy’s prediction was right and he even congratulated Santana by replying to one of his posts on X.
