WWE star Logan Paul was spotted with a name from AEW just days before the company’s next Premium Live Event, SummerSlam.
The aforementioned star in question is Big Boom AJ. Both he and Logan Paul have had a similar journey. The duo rose to prominence as social media influencers, leading to their respective signings with major promotions like WWE and AEW. Furthermore, they have been part of several in-ring matches so far. However, the only difference has been that Paul has been a much more frequent in-ring competitor than AJ, though he became a full-time WWE star only after aligning with The Vision last year.
Furthermore, Logan Paul is a regular fixture on WWE television programs, appearing alongside his Vision members on RAW, despite currently dealing with a tricep injury. On the other hand, Big Boom AJ has not made AEW appearances in some time. Despite being a part of rival companies, the duo linked up ahead of WWE SummerSlam 2026.
The Maverick and Big Boom AJ were recently spotted together at the National Sports Collectors Convention that took place in Rosemont, Illinois. They squared off in a ‘Boom-Off,’ flexing their arm and constantly saying “boom.” They went on for more than thirty seconds until Paul gave up, and AJ walked away as the winner. Logan Paul opens up about his injury
On an edition of his podcast, IMPAULSIVE, Logan Paul spoke about his triceps injury that he sustained on Saturday Night’s Main Event a few months ago. The former WWE United States Champion revealed that it happened while he was trying to catch Angelo Dawkins, who came flying at him. Paul further added that he knew instantly that he was injured and was in a lot of pain.
“So, what had happened was, I was on the outside. A nearly 300-pound [Angelo] Dawkins comes flying over the ropes. He lands on me. My arm is flexed in trying to catch him landing on the ground. Too much weight, too much tension. I could feel the tendons snap off the elbow. And it’s interesting, because the triceps is in the middle of your arm. But it came from the elbow. It came from the bottom of the triceps. It detaches. And, I’ve been injured so many times, I knew immediately. Listen closely when it happens, you can hear me. I’m not selling like a wrestler. That’s real pain,” Paul said. [H/T: ITR Wrestling]
While he continues to make regular WWE appearances, it remains to be seen when he will be cleared for in-ring action.
