All Pokemon easter eggs in Beast of Reincarnation

While Beast of Reincarnation looks to be a Dark Souls-esque monster fighting game, the developers are very famous for a different game series. If the name Game Freak evokes a sense of deja vu, it’s because they are also the developers behind the Pokemon series, arguably one of the most popular multimedia franchises in existence.

So let us take a look at some of the possible Easter Eggs from Pokemon in Beast of Reincarnation.

Every nod to Pokemon in Beast of Reincarnation

1) Koo is full of Pokemon references

In Beast of Reincarnation, your dog Koo is a constant ally and is comparable to a partner Pokemon. However, that is a very shallow comparison by itself. But take his abilities which are measured in FP (Florescence Points). This is very similar to PP (Power Points) which determine how many times a Pokemon can use a move. Additionally, there are only so many moves that Koo can learn at the same time similar to how Pokemon can only learn four moves at a time.

There’s an additional aspect with regards to your relationship with Koo. In the Pokemon series, your friendship with a Pokemon decreases if they faint in battle. This is very similar to how it works in this game, as every time Koo faints in a battle, you lose some of your rapport with it.

On the flip side, much like how you can improve your Pokemon’s friendship with berries and petting through Pokemon-Amie, you can increase Emma’s rapport with Koo by petting him and feeding him Kagura’s meals.

2) The Nushi fights are very similar to Pokemon boss battles in the Legends games

In both Pokemon Legends games, players fight certain powerful Pokemon in which the trainer has to directly dodge attacks and take part alongside their partners. This is very similar to how the battles against the Nushi, the bosses at the end of every chapter in Beast of Reincarnation, work as Emma and Koo team up and take down the various bosses together.

3) The second phase of the various Nushi involves them undergoing a form of “Mega Evolution”

Almost all the Nushi take on a secondary evolution similar to the various gimmicks that have become common from Generation VI onwards. For instance, Lacerta undergoes a form of Mega Evolution similar to Venusaur to Mega Venusaur. Likewise Ursa undergoes a change similar to how Bloodmoon Ursaluna became a different variant of Ursaluna.

Besides that, other Nushi are similar to other Pokemon as well. Like Corvus bears a resemblance to Corviknight, Erymanth to Mamoswine, and Taurus to, well Tauros.
