Lainey Reid Addressed As WWE Superstar’s ‘Girlfriend’

Lainey Reid was referred to as the ‘girlfriend’ of WWE Superstar Kendal Grey. The two seem to be good friends off TV despite one being a heel and the other being a babyface.

Grey is signed to the NXT brand, where she quite recently lost the NXT Women’s Championship to Kelani Jordan at Heatwave. Grey’s reign lasted 62 days after she had dethroned Lola Vice to win the title at The Great American Bash.

On Instagram, Reid caught the attention of multiple WWE Superstars with her photos from the beach, including the former NXT Women’s Champion. Grey reacted with a one-word message to the photos, calling Reid her ‘girlfriend’.

“gf🖤” wrote Grey.

Lainey Reid Compared The NXT And Main Roster Locker Rooms

Lainey Reid compared the nature within NXT, stating that over at NXT it felt more like a team while working with other superstars. Over on the main roster, superstars have to deal with more money and star power, and there are a lot of egos.

Speaking on Busted Open, Lainey Reid said:

“I feel like NXT in itself, you find yourself more as a team. There’s competition there, but it’s not the same. I think once you get up to the big leagues and you’re dealing with a lot more money and a lot more star power, there’s a lot of egos. There’s a lot of people who think this is right or that is right. So it’s just different in the sense of these people don’t really have your back and they don’t want what’s best for you. I wish there was more of a… I don’t know if locker room leader is the word for it, but in a sense, I do wish there was somebody there that kind of made you… because that’s what it was when I came into NXT. There was people like Zoey Stark. There was people like Ivy Nile, and they taught you from the very beginning. They were just on you about anything. I remember being on my phone the first show and Zoey came over there and she rung my tail. I think we need things like that. I think we need people that stay and watch the show, or we need people that make sure maybe the newest girls are the last ones to leave. I don’t know. I think there’s an order that I wouldn’t mind bringing back,”
