Will Ospreay is the reigning AEW World Champion. He won this title by dethroning Kenny Omega at All In: London, and his reign has been excellent so far. However, he is at risk of losing his title at Full Gear. He will put his gold on the line against a top star and broke his silence a few hours ago after All Elite Wrestling made the match official.
Will Ospreay will defend the AEW World Title against the Don Callis Family’s Kyle Fletcher on Full Gear. The two men have history. They have battled several times, and all their matches are critically acclaimed. Both wrestlers have immense momentum right now, and fans are expecting their upcoming match to blow the roof off.
After AEW officially announced this match, Ospreay broke his silence on social media.
“Full Gear Main Event Ospreay Vs Fletcher AEW World Championship,” wrote the Aerial Assassin.
AEW star Will Ospreay agrees that flying regularly between England and America is strenuous on his mental and physical well-being
On a recent appearance on Insight, Chris Van Vliet asked Ospreay if constant flights between the USA and England affect his mental and physical health. He agreed that it does. However, he added that it gets easier once he gets into a routine.
“I can see it wearing on me a little bit, but I’ll be honest with you. Once you get into a routine with it, I find it very easy. You just gotta time your sleeps a little bit, and life is noise. Being honest with you, when I’m at home and with a seven-year-old, it’s noise. It’s constant. He’s got so much energy about him. Then when I’m here, although I’m having the most fun, it is stressful because you’re wanting to put out the best product physically possible, so it’s just noise constantly. So when I’m on that airplane for eight hours, I’m fine with it. It’s just headphones on, got to listen to a bit of Oasis, and I’ll be fine,” he said.
Only time will tell what the future holds Ospreay. Hopefully, he will retain at Full Gear 2026.
