AVC Men’s Cup 2026: Drawing of Lots Sets the Stage in Amdavad


AMDAVAD, INDIA — The Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) officially commenced the journey to the upcoming AVC Men’s Cup 2026 with the Drawing of Lots ceremony held in Amdavad, India.

The tournament is set to take place from June 20–28, 2026, bringing together 12 of Asia’s top national teams to compete for continental honors.

The ceremony was led by AVC President Ramon Suzara, with Mrs. Nilofer Shaikh, Assistant Director of the Sports Authority of Gujarat, among the distinguished guests in attendance. Assisting in the conduct of the draw were Mr. Amit Gulia and Mr. Chirag Yadav.

Following the draw, teams were placed into two competitive pools.

Pool A features India, Australia, Bahrain, Chinese Taipei, Kazakhstan, and New Zealand.

Pool B includes Qatar, Korea, Pakistan, Indonesia, Thailand, and Oman.

AVC President Ramon Suzara emphasized the importance of the competition in strengthening the level of play across the continent.

“The AVC Men’s Cup continues to be an important platform for our national teams to compete at a high level and showcase the strength of Asian volleyball. With the quality and diversity of teams in this year’s edition, we expect a highly competitive tournament that will further elevate the sport in our region,” said Suzara.

The AVC Men’s Cup remains a key part of the federation’s international calendar, providing national teams with valuable opportunities to perform on the continental stage.

With the pools now confirmed, the stage is set for an exciting competition as teams prepare for the tournament. The AVC is confident that the 2026 edition will deliver thrilling matches and inspire fans across Asia.
