Cody Rhodes tricks major WWE star ahead of SmackDown

Cody Rhodes hilariously tricked a major WWE star ahead of tonight’s episode of SmackDown. The American Nightmare missed last week’s show after he was brutally attacked by Randy Orton on the March 13 edition of the blue brand.

Ahead of tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown in Pittsburgh, Danhausen shared a video while signing autographs backstage. However, the Very Nice, Very Evil star was unaware that he was actually signing autographs on photos of Cody Rhodes. Danhausen complained about being tricked by the Undisputed WWE Champion and you can check out the video in the post below.

“Danhausen has been dooped by @CodyRhodes yet again,” he wrote.

Rhodes was supposed to appear on The Pat McAfee Show earlier this week, but it was canceled. Danhausen debuted for the promotion at Elimination Chamber 2026 but has not wrestled a match yet. The former AEW star has made scattered appearances to give free T-shirts to fans before demanding that the rest of the audience go to the company’s website to purchase his merchandise.

Cody Rhodes calls out WWE locker room for leaving early during shows

Cody Rhodes recently scolded the locker room for leaving early during shows.

Speaking on his What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast, the 40-year-old discussed stars leaving early and noted that it explained why the same stars are featured at WrestleMania every year. He added that there was a way for stars to properly exit early, but that was not what was happening backstage anymore.

“I’m almost now mad at you leaving early. You’re blatantly doing that. Bags by Gorilla, the last 2 matches going, that’s a classic. I get that. I’m so here, but I won’t be but just right in front of me. Then you ask, ‘Why are the same guys at WrestleMania?’. I’ll tell you why, that’s part of it,” he said.

CODY RHODES SAID SOME TALENT REALLY BE LEAVING THE SHOW EARLY RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM 😭 THEN GOT THE NERVE TO ASK “Why are the same guys always on WrestleMania?” LMFAOOOOOOOO (What Do You Wanna Talk About)

Randy Orton won the Men’s Elimination Chamber match at the PLE last month to become the number one contender. Only time will tell if The Viper can defeat Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania to become the new Undisputed WWE Champion.
