Emmanuel Acho goes off about Stephen A. Smith’s beef with former NBA star

Veteran NFL commentator and analyst Stephen A. Smith is in the news for his ongoing feud with former NBA champion Matt Barnes. The back and forth between Smith and Barnes started after the NFL analyst called out LeBron James.

Smith accussed James of neglecting the welfare of the Black community in Memphis after saying the team should move to Nashville. Barnes hit back at Smith, accusing of “tap dancing for the whole white Republican Party.”

Former NFL star turned analyst Emmanuel Acho weighed in on Smith’s beef with Barnes on the “Speakeasy” podcast.

“Black people don’t need to be a monolith… [Barack] Obama black and Matt Barnes are two different kinds of acting black,” Acho said.

“Why y’all acting like you’re flamethrowers? Are you employed by the brother? Why are we overreacting to everything…He’s LeBron,” he said. “He makes news. I report on it. I’m not an influencer. It’s my job.”
