Slay the Spire 2 is unavailable on Switch 2

As mentioned earlier, Mega Crit’s roguelike deckbuilder is not available on the Switch 2 at the moment. In fact, the game has not launched on any console yet.
However, if we consider that Slay the Spire 2 is still in its early access phase, the absence of console versions is not surprising. Currently, the game is only accessible on Steam for Windows, macOS, and Linux/SteamOS.
Could Slay the Spire 2 release on Switch 2 in the future?
When discussing a potential console release, it is best to look at hints or statements from the developers themselves. Interestingly, Mega Crit earlier shared a small tease in its Neowsletter developer post on Steam on February 14, 2025. The introduction of that post included the following line:
‘Did you hear the news that a Nintendo Switch 2 is coming?? Expect an email from us, Nintendo :)”
While this does not confirm anything officially, it hints that a Switch 2 version is at least on the developers’ radar. Additionally, if we analyze the series’ past trends, they do point to a potential release. That is so because the original Slay the Spire first launched on PC before eventually making its way to the Nintendo Switch.
Without any official announcement, release window, or confirmation from the developers so far, all these remain speculation. In the meantime, it is best to keep an eye on the game’s official channels, including the developer’s Discord, Steam posts, and social media accounts, to stay updated for future announcements.
