Lakers Fans Pumped as Luka Doncic Hopes to Expedite Return With ‘Special Treatment’ From Europe

The LA Lakers have ruled out Luka Doncic for the rest of the regular season due to a Grade 2 strained left hamstring. Doncic is also in danger of missing the first round of the playoffs since his injury has a typical recovery time of four to six weeks.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Doncic and his team are flying to Europe to seek specialized treatment. The Lakers’ medical team was consulted on the decision, with Doncic looking to return as soon as possible to help the franchise in the postseason.

The Lakers are still sitting third in the West standings despite their loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday. However, the Denver Nuggets and Houston Rockets are gaining momentum and could overtake them before the end of the regular season if they continue losing games.

NBA fans online reacted to the news of Luka Doncic seeking specialized treatment in Europe for his hamstring injury. Some fans pointed to LeBron James doing the same thing for his foot injury three years ago, while others cautioned Doncic to just let his injury heal naturally.

They don’t want him to risk further injury by returning before his body fully heals. Here are some of the comments on X, formerly known as Twitter.

LeBron sent him to his doctor 👀

Need that horse placenta treatment asap

Why don’t they just let him take PEDs like bron?

They seen one game and said f*ck it we injecting you with that compound v

Rushing a Grade 2 hamstring never ends well. Hope they’re not prioritizing speed over durability 👀

Yo basketball aside this ain’t worth it. The risk vs reward is way too big, lakers not doin shi in playoffs

The LA Lakers are also dealing with an injury to Austin Reaves, who was diagnosed with a Grade 2 left oblique strain. Reaves was ruled out for the rest of the regular season, and just like Luka Doncic, he’s in danger of missing the first round of the playoffs.

Reaves’ recovery timeline is identical to Doncic’s, which is four to six weeks.

Injury expert explains what Luka Doncic’s potential treatment

In a post on X, Dr. Jesse Morse, an injury expert and analyst for the NFL, detailed what Luka Doncic could be doing in Europe. Morse believes Doncic could be heading toward Germany or Switzerland. It should be noted that Kobe Bryant and LeBron James went to Germany for their respective treatments years ago.

“He’s likely getting a combination of MSC’s, placental tissue, exosomes, as well as other treatments not legal here in the United States,” Morse tweeted. “Remind me of what Kobe did many years ago. They will be injected under ultrasound guidance directly into each area of weakness in his hamstring.”

Germany (& Switzerland) traditionally lead the world in cutting edge medical treatments, especially Stem cells. He’s likely getting a combination of MSC’s, placental tissue, exosomes, as well as other treatments not legal here in the United States. Remind me of what Kobe did many years ago. They will be injected under ultrasound guidance directly into each area of weakness in his hamstring. That’s what I do in my clinic. Additionally, he’s probably using various modalities to speed up the healing, possibly Inuspharesis or TPE. Wouldn’t be surprised if they use Peptides on him over there, as there is a specific type called nano peptides from Switzerland (that I know the manufacturer of). Of course these are banned here in the United States, but if he gets them there and is able to get them cleared from his system before he returns, no issues. Hence the TPE. When I alluded to throwing the ‘kitchen sink’ at him the other day, this is essentially what I meant. I did a deep dive on the different types of Stem cells earlier today if you’re interested: https://open.substack.com/pub/drjessemorse/p/the-future-is-already-here-a-clinicians?r=ntnvf&utm_medium=ios There’s a very good chance that Luka will be back and ready to play in 3 to 4 weeks. Modern medicine is amazing!

Morse added that doctors in Europe could also use peptides to treat Doncic, which is not legal in the United States. Even if Doncic undergoes the banned treatment, it’s not going to be an issue since he had it done overseas.
