A huge WWE star is reportedly being kept off tonight’s episode of SmackDown. This week’s show will air live from the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina.
According to a new report from PWInsider, Cody Rhodes will not be appearing tonight on WWE SmackDown. The American Nightmare had a contract signing with Randy Orton last week on the blue brand to make their Undisputed WWE Championship match official for WrestleMania 42.

The Viper turned heel during the segment and brutally attacked Cody Rhodes. As noted by PWInsider, Rhodes is being kept off tonight’s show to sell the heinous attack by Orton last week.
Randy Orton is scheduled to address his attack on Cody Rhodes tonight on SmackDown. A grudge match between Jacob Fatu and Drew McIntyre is set to open tonight’s show, and the Women’s Tag Team Championship match between The Irresistible Forces and The Bella Twins will reportedly be the main event of SmackDown.
Former WWE manager reacts to Randy Orton’s attack on Cody Rhodes
Wrestling legend Dutch Mantell recently commented on Randy Orton’s heel turn and admitted that he thought Cody Rhodes would be the one changing his character.
Speaking on Story Time with Dutch Mantell, the veteran suggested that the promotion was going to have a difficult time with the title match. Mantell noted that fans were behind Orton during the segment last week and were booing Rhodes.
“Well, actually, did you hear the people booing Cody? I thought it was going the other way. They’re going to have trouble with this match, I think. But Randy, you can say what you want to about him. He’s still over and he has a lot of respect with the WWE fans. To me, if you got to pick a good guy or a bad guy, you’re going to do that naturally anyway. But they were booing Cody and really enjoyed what Randy did to him. So, how that translates to views, I don’t know,” he said.
