Paris Saint-Germain v Toulouse: Line-ups, stats and preview

Paris Saint-Germain can at least temporarily stretch their advantage at the top of Ligue 1 to four points when they welcome Toulouse to the Parc des Princes.

PSG hold a one-point lead over surprise title challengers Lens having played a game fewer.

And they have a chance to put pressure on Les Sang et Or ahead of Saturday’s Derby du Nord match with Lille.

Luis Enrique’s men will be expected to cruise to victory against Toulouse, though the PSG coach may have one eye on next week’s Champions League quarter-final first leg with Liverpool as he mulls his team selection.

After successive wins over Metz and Lorient, Toulouse have an outside chance of European qualification.

They are nine points adrift of sixth-placed Monaco, who beat PSG 3-1 in the last Ligue 1 game at the Parc des Princes.

That upset may give hope to Toulouse, though a 6-3 defeat in the reverse fixture and a miserable record in this matchup for the visitors will see them travel to the capital with limited expectations.

Still, with Monaco facing Marseille on Sunday, Toulouse could deliver a stunning boost to their aspirations if they can find a way to exploit the vulnerabilities of a PSG side that has shown they will afford opponents opportunities both in the league and in Europe.
