“Pretty ballsy” – Female ex-WWE star reacts to awkward interaction

WWE superstars are known figures outside the squared circle when they’re not wrestling or even when they’re no longer associated with the company. Superstars also have awkward interactions, and recently, a female star reacted to one of her interactions, which didn’t go as planned.

Saraya Bevis, fka Paige, worked for the Stamford-based promotion for a decade before she went to All Elite Wrestling. Paige became a household name during the Divas Era and made history as the first woman to hold the NXT Women’s and Divas Championships at the same time. After she was forced to retire, she spent a few years as an on-screen character before she left the company.

In 2025, Saraya hit the free agency market when she left All Elite Wrestling. The former WWE Divas Champion has made public appearances and attended meet-and-greets. Recently, a video went viral on X when Joe Alanzo Jr. met The Anti-Diva. The interaction was friendly at first, but it quickly turned awkward when Alanzo accidentally mentioned an incident from the star’s past.

While he did clarify it wasn’t his intention to mention it, the whole situation looked awkward. Alanzo stated, ‘I’ve watched your videos,’ which was a reference to Paige’s past scandal. The wrestler tried to make it up and clarified he didn’t mean it, but the ship had sailed, and the whole interaction got weird.

The star also titled the video ‘My Video With Paige Got Leaked’ on his YouTube channel. While the whole thing was recorded and uploaded on social media, the incident seemed scripted, and Paige didn’t seem to take offense as she later endorsed the independent star in his video.

A while later, she reacted to the clip on X, where Alanzo asked the community whether he fumbled the bag when he met Paige. The Anti-Diva reacted to the clip and the whole awkward situation, stating Alanzo never had a bag to fumble, meaning he had no chance in the first place.

Will Saraya return to WWE?

In 2022, Saraya, fka Paige, joined All Elite Wrestling and stepped out of retirement. The Anti-Diva had a successful run in Tony Khan’s promotion, capturing the AEW Women’s World Championship in the United Kingdom. In 2025, she parted ways with the Jacksonville-based company and became a free agent in the industry. Later, she was seen training for an in-ring return, but hasn’t signed with any promotion.

In the coming week, Saraya will be in Las Vegas for WrestleCon, Field of Dreams, and will shoot a special episode of The Rulebreakers podcast. However, she hasn’t signed with WWE, and no other reports have indicated that she’s returning to the Stamford-based promotion in the near future. It’ll be interesting to see what’s next for the former WWE star in the coming months.
