Details explored as Florida woman is charged with attempted murder after shooting at Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s home

On Sunday, March 8, a woman was spotted outside the Beverly Hills area of Los Angeles. Multiple neighbours reported that they spotted the woman allegedly wearing a wig. She was driving a white Tesla up and down the street outside Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s home. The state records of Florida hint that a woman of the same name is a speech-language pathologist with a valid license.
The police mentioned that the shooting was carried out with an AR-15-style semiautomatic rifle. Moreover, the gate of Rihanna’s home, the airstream trailer where she was A$AP Rocky were located during the time of the incident, and their neighbour’s home were all affected by the gunshots, which were soon after the neighbours spotted the woman.
The Los Angeles police mentioned that the automatic license plate on the white Tesla led them to Ivanna Ortiz. The accused was found by the police over the hill at Sherman Oaks. Ortiz was driving her Tesla when she was taken into custody after being stopped at a signal. An AR-15 rifle, a blonde wig, spent castings, extra ammunition, and a 30-round magazine were found inside the Tesla. Los Angeles Police Chief Jim McDonnell said:
“The suspect invoked a right to counsel and made no statements.”
In an official statement on Tuesday (March 10), the Office of the Los Angeles County Public Defender mentioned that they were appointed to represent Ivanna Ortiz in the Rihanna and A$AP Rocky shooting case. The statement said:
“As in every case, we will work to ensure that our client receives the full protections guaranteed under the Constitution. When an individual comes into our community and decides to shoot it up, that individual will be arrested and held fully accountable for her actions.”
As of this writing, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have yet to make any comments regarding the shooting incident. The police confirmed that all individuals at their home were unharmed after the incident.
