17-time WWE champion comments on signing a new contract with AEW

A 17-time WWE champion recently gave an interview in which he revealed key details about his AEW future. In the same conversation, the veteran commented on his current contract with All Elite Wrestling, which he signed a while ago.

The star is none other than Big Show, aka Paul Wight. The legend has been a 4-time World Champion in WWE, an 8-time Tag Team Champion, a 3-time Hardcore Champion, a 1-time Intercontinental Champion, and a 1-time United States Champion. After an illustrious career, Show left WWE to run in AEW in 2021. He has been with the promotion since then, and he recently signed a new contract as well.

Speaking with Joey Franchize, the former WWE star gave a shout-out to Tony Khan. He expressed gratitude to the AEW President for considering him worthy enough to re-sign with the company at this stage of his career. Moreover, Big Show went on to praise Khan’s vision as a booker in the world of professional wrestling.

“Let’s thank Tony Khan cause Tony Khan still sees something in me. So, I’m grateful for that,” said Show.

Big Show set to make his return on AEW Dynamite: Beach Break

Tony Khan is set to present its special Dynamite: Beach Break episode this Wednesday night. The company is promoting it as a pivotal event ahead of Redemption and All In pay-per-view. Ahead of the show, Paul Wight has also announced that he is making his return to All Elite Wrestling for this specific show.

Speaking with Joey Franchize, the former WWE Champion, expressed his excitement for the event while revealing that he will be in the house. He added that a lot of top stars are going to be present in the arena, and he would like to take the opportunity to be back with the Jacksonville-based promotion.

“AEW Beach Break presented by Visit St. Pete Clearwater tomorrow, July 8th. I’m excited for it. Paul White will be in the building. So many great stars in there. AEW’s killing it right now. Uh, Paul, really appreciate you taking the time, man. This means a lot.”

The legend’s last All Elite appearances were at Full Gear pay-per-view last year. Elsewhere, Paul Wight hinted that he could compete in a match in some capacity at Beach Break this Wednesday night. Only time will tell how things will unfold for the former WWE Champion upon his comeback at Dynamite.
