Double or Nothing has the potential to be one of the best shows in All Elite Wrestling history. There is a lot of responsibility on Tony Khan. However, he will likely deliver.
Here are three 3 last-minute predictions for AEW Double or Nothing 2026.
#3. Mercedes Mone will return
Former AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone went on a hiatus after losing her title to Willow Nightingale on Dynamite: New Year’s Smash. The former WWE star is one of the biggest names in the Tony Khan-led company. She has a good relationship with the AEW president, and in a 2025 interview with TV Insider, she said that Khan is the best boss she has ever had.
“Tony Khan is the best boss I’ve had in my whole life. I love working with him. I love working for him. It has been so positive just to be around him. He brings such an energy that I’ve never experienced from a boss before. I don’t know, he makes you so happy even before you go out to the ring. He is just so energetic and passionate about wrestling. I love wrestling, and he does. So, it’s the best working with someone who loves it just as much as you do,” she said.
The CEO could make her anticipated return at AEW Double or Nothing. This could happen after the AEW Women’s World Title match, or she could replace Mina Shirakawa in the Women’s Owen Hart Tournament quarter-final match.
#2. Adam Copeland and Christian Cage will retire as a tag team
Adam Copeland and Christian Cage will challenge FTR for the AEW World Tag Team Championship in an “I Quit” match. If the veterans fail to defeat Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler, they will have to retire as a tag team. Fans are expecting the Rated R Superstar and Captain Charisma to win. However, Tony Khan might have other plans.
Copeland and Cage might lose to FTR and will retire as a tag team. This will be a shocking moment because nobody is expecting this to happen. The internet wrestling community will certainly go berserk if this happens. Furthermore, it will be one of Tony Khan’s boldest decisions.
#1. Former AEW World Champion MJF will go bald
MJF will have to shave his head if he fails to defeat Darby Allin for the AEW World Title this weekend. The Salt of the Earth was recently interviewed by TV Insider, and in this conversation, he said that his hair means everything to him.
“Look, my hair means everything to me. I have broken just about every record in the history of my company. A part of the reason I’m able to sell so many tickets and get so many eyeballs on the product is because of the way I look,” he said.
Fans are eager to see Big Hebrew bald, and Tony Khan and the former World Champion might make their dream come true. Friedman might lose the match and his hair at the upcoming pay-per-view.
