3-time WWE champion shockingly attacked during AEW Collision

A former United States Champion was brutally decimated on tonight’s AEW Collision episode. Andrade has been in hot water in the past few weeks. At Forbidden Door, he betrayed and left the Don Callis Family during the high-stakes Steel Cage match. Since then, the faction has been attacking El Idolo every chance they get. The latter then challenged Mark Davis for a shot at the National Championship.

To get the opportunity at the title, the Real Latino Man had to defeat Jake Doyle on Dynamite earlier this week. He will now face Mark Davis at Redemption. For the past few weeks, he has managed to dodge the Don Callis Family’s attacks on him. However, tonight, he couldn’t find a way out.

On tonight’s AEW Collision, Renee Paquette interviewed Andrade regarding his match at Redemption. Unfortunately, out of nowhere, Mark Davis attacked El Idolo. The reigning National Champion choked him and left him unconscious backstage. It will be interesting to see what his response is on the upcoming edition of AEW Dynamite this Wednesday.

Andrade reveals his aim in AEW

The Real Latino Man returned to the Jacksonville-based promotion earlier this year and has yearned for one thing: the world championship. However, he is yet to receive a shot at the title. He still hopes to win the gold someday.

While speaking on Undisputed, Andrade said his main goal is to win the AEW World Championship and defend it against the likes of Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega.

“I’m looking for that championship. God knows I want it. MJF, I’m looking for an opportunity. That would be incredible. I’d be a fighting champion and defend it against Will Ospreay. I’d defend it against Kenny Omega. Hopefully it is soon, but I will work for it as long as necessary,” he said.

It will be interesting to see what goes down at Redemption when El Idolo battles for the National Championship next week.
