Progression Reborn is a popular Minecraft vanilla progression mod. Though it brings massive changes to the game’s progression system, it retains the vanilla feel. It mainly brings changes to how you will upgrade your gear, improve a tool’s durability, find ores, and more. Here is a list of some of the main changes the mod brings:

Reasonable Progression is a Minecraft vanilla progression mod that takes a step further than Progression Reborn. This mod adds a much more realistic progression system, similar to RL Craft. In it, you first need to create a sharpened flint knife using flint and pebbles. You will take small hits to your health if you hit hard blocks like wood logs or stone with your hand.

Once you mine an ore block, the type of pickaxe will determine whether you receive a full raw ore or just a small nugget. For example, if you mine an iron ore with a stone pickaxe, you will get one iron nugget. Nine of them will be required to create one raw iron.

This Minecraft vanilla progression mod instantly makes the game a lot more realistic and slower. However, the fighting mechanics and the general progression of the story remain the same.
