All Completed Newcastle United Transfers in 2026/27

Newcastle United head into the 2026/27 season under new management, with Matthias Jaissle taking charge following Eddie Howe’s departure.

Sections of the Tyneside faithful felt a change was needed, but the sudden nature of Howe’s exit with just a few weeks until the start of the Premier League season has given the club plenty of work to do.

Jaissle inherits a squad reshaped by two huge departures this summer with a third potentially on the way, having already sold Alexander Isak to Liverpool for a British record fee last year.

Bazoumana Toure arrives from Hoffenheim for £42m, with the young Ivorian winger seen as one of the most exciting attacking talents in the Bundesliga last season.

Toure scored five times and provided nine assists in the German top flight last term, and will be tasked with replacing the output of Anthony Gordon.

Aladji Bamba joins from Monaco for around £34m plus add-ons, providing youthful exuberance and defensive midfield depth, while Sean Steur completes a £23m move from Ajax.

Ewen Jaouen rounds off the incomings, joining from Stade Reims as a young goalkeeping option for the future.

Newcastle United Departures 2026/27

Sandro Tonali has left for Tottenham in a deal worth up to £100m, becoming Newcastle’s second-biggest sale of all time behind only Isak’s move to Liverpool.

Anthony Gordon has also departed, joining Barcelona for around £69m after being a key part of the Magpies’ recent success and starring for England at the World Cup.

Matt Targett and Kieran Trippier have both left on free transfers, joining Hull City and Wolves respectively.

Joe White has dropped down to League Two with Crewe Alexandra, while Harrison Ashby heads out on loan to Luton Town. Emil Krafth and John Ruddy have both been released as free agents.

Newcastle United’s record signing is Nick Woltemade, who joined from Stuttgart in 2025 for a fee of around £69m inclusive of add-ons.

The German striker struggled to settle at times during his debut campaign and was often used deeper in midfield, but still came away with 11 goals and five assists, a decent return for a young player in a new league and system.

Who is Newcastle United’s Record Sale?

Newcastle United’s record sale is Alexander Isak, sold to Liverpool in 2025 for £125m – a British transfer record at the time.

Isak had gone on strike for weeks to force through his dream move, with the deal completed on the final day of the summer window.

Newcastle reinvested the funds in Woltemade and Yoane Wissa, while Isak struggled due to injuries during his first season at Anfield.
