Rainman is a Mythic-rarity unit in Anime Expeditions that specializes in poisoning enemies with its attacks. It has a Climate Meter, which increases with every hit from Rain Cloud and activates the Frog Storm effect. Enemies that die in the storm are converted into Poison Frogs, becoming stationary traps that explode to deal Poison damage. Draconic is the ideal Trait for this unit because it increases Damage and Damage Over Time, while reducing the character’s spawn cost.

How to get Rainman in Anime Expeditions
You have a 0.25% chance of obtaining Rainman from a Summer Capsule. Available till Update 4 in Anime Expeditions, you can purchase a Summer Capsule from the Tidal Siege Event shop with 100 Sand Dollars.
Sand Dollars are rewards for completing Tidal Siege and Summer Fish Fest quests. Most of these missions require you to fish a certain number of times. Rather than using the starter rod, unlock ones with better catch rates to increase your chances of reeling in rare characters and items.
You can also acquire Sand Dollars from the Summer Calendar. Log in to the game every day, open the Calendar, and claim a reward from it, which includes Trait Crystals, Sand Dollars, and Equipment Rerolls.
Apart from Rainman, you can get the Head Captain unit from a Summer Capsule.
How to evolve Rainman in Anime Expeditions
Rainman evolves into Rainman (Forecast) in Anime Expeditions, receiving a new attack and three passives. Choose the unit in the Evolutions menu and submit the following to acquire its evolved version:
- 25x Sprite (Blue)
- 25x Sprite (Green)
- 1x Sprite (Rainbow)
- 1x Cloud Disc
- 10,000 Gold
There are a couple of ways to get Sprites. You can either obtain them by completing Challenges or craft the items by using Grey Sprites. Crafting will also require Gold, the primary in-game currency obtained by completing Story stages on any difficulty.
Cloud Disc is an evolution item available in the Summer Fish Event shop. Like most evo materials in this shop, this item costs 10,000 Sand Dollars.
Passives of Rainman (Forecast) in Anime Expeditions
Rainman has three passives and an Active Ability. By using its ability, you can summon a Rain Cloud within this unit’s range and deal damage to enemies. Every hit from Rain Cloud will increase your Climate Meter, which in turn will activate Frog Storm to devastate enemies with Poison debuffs.
Here is the entire arsenal of Rainman (Forecast):
Heavy Rain (passive)
- This unit has Climate Meter, starting at 0.
- Every hit from Rain Cloud increases this unit’s Climate Meter by 5.
- When Climate Meter is at 100, the Rain Cloud turns into Frog Storm.
Frog Storm (passive)
- Every second, decrease Climate Meter by 20.
- When an enemy comes within 5 range of Frog Storm, it will stop moving for 5 seconds.
- If an enemy dies in Frog Storm, it is converted into a Poison Frog.
- When the Climate Meter is emptied, the Frog Storm turns into Rain Cloud.
Poison Frog (passive)
- Poison Frogs are a stationary path summon.
- If an enemy walks over a Poison Frog, it will explode for 100% of this unit’s current damage and apply Poison in 3 range.
Rain Cloud (Active Ability)
- Select a position within this unit’s range to summon Rain Cloud.
- Enemies within Rain Cloud will take damage equal to 15% of this unit’s damage every second (25-second local cooldown).
