BANGKOK, Thailand — The AVC Women’s Champions League 2026 gets underway on April 26 at The Mall Lifestore Bangkapi Convention Hall, with two preliminary round matches kicking off the race for continental honors and qualification to the FIVB Volleyball Club World Championship.
The opening day features matchups across Pool A and Pool B, as teams begin their campaigns in the five-day tournament.
In the first match of the day, Beijing Arctic Ocean will face defending champions Zhetysu in a Pool B clash scheduled at 3:00 p.m. (UTC+7). Both teams enter the tournament with strong credentials, with Zhetysu aiming to defend their title and Beijing Arctic Ocean looking to make an early statement in the competition.
The second match will see Thailand’s Nakhonratchasima 3M Films VC take on Mehregan Noor Club in Pool A at 7:00 p.m. (UTC+7). The matchup features a host nation contender against a competitive side from Iran, as both teams seek a strong start in the group stage.
With the top two teams in the tournament earning qualification to the FIVB Volleyball Club World Championship, each match carries significant weight as clubs look to secure early momentum.
“This competition reflects the continued growth of women’s club volleyball in Asia and provides a pathway for our teams to compete at the highest level globally,” said AVC President Ramon Suzara. “We expect a competitive opening day as teams begin their journey toward the championship.”
