Brandon Aiyuk continues to criticize the San Francisco 49ers on social media. On Saturday, the wide receiver posted another video in which he shared more details about the entire situation.
In the three-and-a-half-minute clip, Aiyuk discusses how he fired his agent, Ryan Williams. The wide receiver said the agent also shares a business relationship with 49ers GM John Lynch and claimed that Williams tried to text his wife amid the drama.
Thanks for the submission!
“The reason why the agent being fired is such an important detail in this whole story is because that agent is also the agent of the GM for that one team,” Aiyuk said. “And that agent really started this whole (expletive) cause I fired his (expletive), but he wanna text my wife like he’s smart. Don’t ever text my wife Your (expletive) fired.

“So he is also the agent for the general manager for that team. And these (expletive) is all weird. Weirdos and creepy predators. I would never, ever, ever (expletive) with these (expletive).”

Brandon Aiyuk also claimed that John Lyn visited his home to apologize in coach Kyle Shanahan’s stead amid all the tension between him and the 49ers. Shanahan highlighted the lack of communication between him and the wide receiver during his postseason press conference in January.
He also highlighted that he has not faced such a situation in his 22 years of coaching. However, Aiyuk did not provide any evidence to back up his narrative. He also said that he will not set foot in the 49ers’ facility. The only exception is when he plays against them on Oct. 19 as a potential member of the Washington Commanders.
49ers analyst shares his thoughts on Brandon Aiyuk’s desire to play for the Commanders
Over the past few days, Brandon Aiyuk has made it clear on social media that he wants to play for the Washington Commanders. Last weekend, he made headlines after posting an IG story chanting “Go, Commanders!” Aiyuk also shared a photo of retired quarterback Mark Rypien, who won Super Bowl XXVI with the Commanders.
49ers insider Grant Cohn shared a video following Aiyuk’s posts, stating that the situation points towards two possible outcomes.
“It is just one of two things that are happening right now,” Cohn said. “One could be that he’s in the process of getting released by the 49ers. So, it’s possible that all of that’s in motion, and he’s over there, and he’s not gonna report for the Niners, and they don’t want the circus, and that he’ll be there for day one in Washington Commanders camp.
“The other possibility, is that Brandon Aiyuk is completely delusional and yelling into the void and trying to speak something into existence, and he’s no closer to joining the Commanders than he was last week, and he saw us to actually show up to the Niners and force the issue.”
Aiyuk agreed to a four-year, $120 million extension with the 49ers in 2024. However, he suffered a season-ending torn MCL and ACL injury that same year. This resulted in his absence throughout the entire 2025 campaign.
In November, the 49ers decided to void the 2026 guaranteed money in Aiyuk’s contract for lack of participation. In December, he was placed on the reserve squad list after announcing his decision not to file a grievance with the NFLPA.
