Connor Zilisch has reacted to Moto GP superstar Pedro Acosta’s post after the Spanish rider shared photos from his visit to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway during the Brickyard 400 weekend last weekend.
Acosta competes in the MotoGP World Championship for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing. The 22-year-old from Murcia, Spain won the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup in 2020 and the 2021 Moto3 World Championship during his rookie season in the class. He then moved to Moto2 and won the World Championship in 2023 after collecting seven wins and 14 podium finishes during the season.

Acosta also visited Richard Childress Racing and Trackhouse Racing facilities, where he also met Jesse Love and got a closer look at the work behind American stock car racing.
Meanwhile, Zilisch, who is adjusting to life as a full-time Cup Series driver, finished 34th in the Brickyard 400. The Trackhouse Racing driver has had a difficult rookie season so far. His season opening race, the Daytona 500, ended with a crash and a 33rd-place finish after contact in the middle stages. He later showed strong pace at Watkins Glen, where his No. 88 Chevrolet challenged for a top-five finish before a late tire issue dropped him to 20th. His best finish came at Sonoma Raceway in June at seventh place.
The 20-year-old is 34th in the NASCAR Cup points standings after 22 races. Nonetheless, Zilisch’s talent and potential remain clear. He has been linked to a possible move to Hendrick Motorsports for the 2028 season.

Connor Zilisch’s current contract with Trackhouse Racing is set to run through the end of 2027.
Zilisch joined Trackhouse Racing’s driver development program in 2024 and the team later signed him to a multiyear deal and promoted him to the Cup Series for the 2026 season, where he took over the No. 88 Chevrolet.
Rumors about his future at Hendrick Motorsports started after Alex Bowman announced his retirement from the Cup Series, which opens the No. 48 Chevrolet after the 2027 season.
Trackhouse owner Justin Marks said the team’s focus remains on helping him grow in the Cup Series and get him to victory lane.
