Minecraft recently got the second game drop of 2026 titled “Chaos Cubed” and it added a lot of interesting things to the blocky game. A new mob called sulfur cube can be found in the sulfur caves along with items such as potent sulfur, cinnabar blocks, etc. To celebrate the release of the update, Mojang Studios has revealed two community challenges and what you can get if you complete it before time.
The Minecraft Chaos Cubed community challenge involves placing a lot of specific blocks. Here’s everything about the challenge including the deadline, how you can participate, and the reward for completing it on time.
Minecraft Chaos Cubed community challenges
As mentioned in the official tweet from Minecraft’s X account, the community challenge is to place some of the newly added blocks before the deadline to complete the challenge. Players have the option to do one of the three things with their teams to complete the task:
- Place 20 million sulfur blocks
- Spawn 50 million sulfur cube mobs
- Feed TNT to 10 million sulfur cube mobs
You can select either one of the three options to complete the challenge and by looking at the sheer number of blocks, the process will take some effort. If you want to take the least tiring option, feeding TNT to 10 million sulfur cube mobs will be comparatively easier.
When does the Chaos Cubed community challenge end?
The Chaos Cubed challenge has already started and will end in four days on June 24 at 10 AM PT. For players across the globe, here’s the deadline in different timezones:
- Central Time (CT): June 24, 12:00 PM CDT
- Eastern Time (ET): June 24, 1:00 PM EDT
- Coordinated Universal Time (UTC / GMT): June 24, 5:00 PM UTC
- British Summer Time (BST – London): June 24, 6:00 PM BST
- Central European Summer Time (CEST – Paris/Berlin): June 24, 7:00 PM CEST
- Indian Standard Time (IST – New Delhi): June 24, 10:30 PM IST

The rewards for completing the Chaos Cubed challenge
As of now, Mojang Studios have not disclosed the exact item that players will get for completing this community challenge but according to the official tweet, it will be a free character creator item that goes with the free items already available for download.
Mojang Studios is giving out three different jerseys named “Brawler,” “Builder,” and “Rancher” that are available for download. It is likely that the character creator reward items might be similar to these jerseys.
