San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk has stirred controversy with his social media posts over the last few weeks. Aiyuk is not expected to play for the 49ers and has been campaigning for a move to the Washington Commanders.
However, the veteran quarterback took a jab at Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels in his social media post on Saturday.

“You’re on my team now,” Aiyuk said in a video. “You follow my rules. Boy, I’m a grown [ ] man. You’re gonna have to start running behind your momma and I might believe what you’re talking about, but until then, uh-uh.”

Following his controversial comments aimed at Daniels, 49ers analyst David Lombardi called out the 49ers wide receiver for his “self-destructive” behaviour.

“If Aiyuk wasn’t trolling, this just took an even darker turn — burning another bridge. If Aiyuk was trolling, he could’ve only worsened his career prospects — no employer is impressed while he has a reputation to mend. Either way it’s a continuation of self-destructive behavior.”
Daniels seemingly responded to Aiyuk’s comments with a picture of Kevin Durant giving two thumbs down in his Instagram story. Aiyuk responded with another video in his story. He wore a Commanders cap and held a boot with a message for Daniels.
“Let’s Run it 5! Let’s see ! Need you available all szn and I’ll do the same !” Aiyuk said.

Brandon Aiyuk‘s controversial social media posts have grabbed headlines for the wrong reasons. NFL analyst Jeremy Fowler slammed the 49ers wide receiver for his antics.
“He continues to nuke his job prospects at this point,” Fowler warned. “I’ve talked to several teams about Brandon Aiyuk, trying to give him the benefit of the doubt.
“Is there any sort of sound strategy he’s employing here? And they can’t think of anything other than this is just sort of insensible.”
According to reports, Aiyuk and Daniels unfollowed each other on social media after the wide receiver’s controversial comments.
