Jaxson Dart has become controversial for introducing President Donald Trump at a rally in New York on Friday. His appearance has drawn much outcry from fans and players alike, but nothing stung more than this comment by his New York Giants teammate Abdul Carter:
“Thought this sh!t was AI, what we doing man?”

Carter did apparently make amends with Dart a few hours afterward:
“Me & JD6 are good! We spoke earlier as Men. Yall can keep yall narratives.”

In a related development, the New York Daily News’ Leonard Greene called Jaxson Dart‘s introduction of Donald Trump a “penalty flag”, while dismissing comparisons to Saquon Barkley and Lawrence Taylor, who each have spoken with Trump in the past:
“Dart is free to vote for and support any candidate he chooses. But unlike Barkley and Taylor, who have Super Bowl wins on their résumés, Dart hasn’t won anything more than four games on a bad team during his rookie season. The last thing the Giants and their new savior coach John Harbaugh need is a divided locker room.”
He continued:
“Dart is still just a few months removed from being a rookie, but he had to know he’d get a few penalty flags for supporting Trump so publicly. Dart also has to know that there’s only one way out of this mess. He has to win. He has to win big, and he has to win often.”
The Giants resume their OTAs on May 27. Those practices will continue until June 4.
