The Vegas Golden Knights squandered a 2-0 lead on Tuesday when the Carolina Hurricanes clawed back into Game 2 in overtime after Seth Jarvis netted the game-winning goal to tie the Stanley Cup Final series at 1-1, with the teams heading to Vegas for the next two games.

Brett Howden scored two goals across two periods, which gave Vegas a 2-0 lead at the end of 60 minutes. Logan Stankoven and Mark Jankowski scored two goals in the 3rd period to tie the game at 2-2. Jordan Staal gave the Hurricanes the lead when scored a power-play goal with less than five minutes left in the game, after John Tortorella’s failed coach’s challenge put Vegas at a man disadvantage. Mark Stone took the game to overtime with his game-tying goal with less than 90 seconds left in regulation.

Seth Jarvis scored the overtime game-winner 3:56 minutes into OT, and clinched Game 2 victory for the Carolina Hurricanes.

Golden Knights alternate captain missed majority of Game 2, after he exited the game early in the first period after taking a slap shot to the face. He was reportedly taken to the hospital after the incident. Head coach John Tortorella did not provide an injury update on McNabb but confirmed he travelled back to Vegas with the team.

If Brayden McNabb is unable to suit up for Game 3, expect Kaeden Korczak to slot back into the lineup. Korczak has played 12 playoff games this postseason, and put up 3 points. He replaced Jeremy Lauzon in the lineup, who missed majority of games after the first round due to injury.
