“I am ready for everyone” – Asadula Imangazaliev brushes off his opponent’s speed and maintains a championship mindset

Undefeated flyweight Muay Thai destroyer Asadula Imangazaliev of Russia is heading into the biggest fight of his career carrying the same mentality he has had since day one. The opponent does not matter, and the preparation does not change. The outcome, he believes, is already decided.

“The Dagestan Ninja” challenges for the vacant ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title once more, this time against Uzbek phenom Aslamjon Ortikov. The battle of the undefeateds will headline The Inner Circle 20 on Friday, June 26, at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

The combined record of both warriors stands at a pristine 36-0 with 22 finishes. It is one of the most evenly matched world title fights ONE Championship has assembled in recent memory.

Despite the caliber of his foe, Imangazaliev remains unfazed and confident. The Team Mehdi Zatout fighter told Do Muay in his pre-event interview:

“For me, it doesn’t matter. I’m ready for everyone. I believe I am a champion. If I’m a champion, it doesn’t matter who my opponents are. I am ready for everyone. He is good, he is fast, good technique. But I’m ready.”

The 22-year-old from Dagestan arrives with unfinished business etched into this camp. He knocked out living legend Nong-O Hama at ONE Friday Fights 147 in March, only to miss weight and be denied the belt he had just fought for.

“The Dagestan Ninja” said in the same interview:

“I don’t know. I don’t think about this [strategy]. I think only about my preparation, only about my game plan, and I follow my game plan when I step in the ring. My plan is the same as always: I go forward. I go for the knockout and show people my level.”
