Since making his big league debut in 2017, Jack Flaherty has enjoyed a solid career at the top level, earning an All-MLB First Team selection in 2019 and winning the World Series in 2024.
A lot of credit for Jack Flaherty’s success also goes to his fiancee, Katie Johnson, who is a constant source of support for the starting pitcher off the field.
A former professional soccer player, Johsnon also runs her own swimwear business known as “YourKini.” She posted a series of mirror selfies to her Instagram story on Thursday promoting her brand.

Jack Flaherty’s fiancee, Katie Johnson, announced her retirement from professional soccer after the end of the 2024 season
Born and raised in Monrovia, California, Katie Johnson developed a passion for soccer from an early age. She attended Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy in La Cañada, Los Angeles County, scoring 57 goals and earning herself high school All-American honors.
She then spent four seasons playing for the USC Trojans women’s soccer team, before being drafted by the Seattle Reign in 2017 NWSL College Draft.
After spending a year in Seattle, she headed to New York to join Sky Blue FC, now known as Gotham FC. Johnson was on the move once again the following year, spending three years with the Chicago Red Stars before stints with the San Diego Wave and Angel City FC.
She retired in 2024, posting an emotional message to Instagram reflecting on her journey.
“It’s with great joy and gratitude that I officially announce my retirement from professional soccer. All I ever wanted to do since I was a young girl was to compete with and against some of the best players in the world.
“I’m so proud to have done that for 8 years. Playing at home in LA with my family right by my side will forever hold a special place in my heart. 💖,” Johnson posted.
In honor of her Mexican mother, Johnson chose to represent the Mexican women’s soccer team in international competitions.
