There are six classes in Mistfall Hunter, which will release on July 30, 2026. These are Blackarrow, Mercenary, Seer, Shadowstrix, Sorcerer, and Withered Knight, each of which has their own unique playstyle. While different players will have their preference and skilled players can make them work, some of them are clearly stronger than others.
So, in this guide we will rank all the classes in Mistfall Hunter, taking into account all the pros and cons of using them.
Best classes in Mistfall Hunter ranked
S-Tier
1) Sorcerer

The Sorcerer is the stongest class in the game by a huge margin. Taking both PvP and PvE into account, the Sorcerer can deal powerful single target damage as well as control crowds with area of effect manuevers. The only thing keep Sorcerer from being outright broken is their health, which is the smallest in the game. So they can be overwhelmed if caught in a bad spot.

A-Tier
1) Shadowstrix

The Shadowstrix is the rogue archetype focused less on direct combat on more on stealth. Luckily for players who love playing as an assassin, this game lets the Shadowstrix deal decent burst damage to overwhelm the opponent before sneaking away again. While great for PvE, this class is best for PvP where skilled players will get a lot of satisfaction taking down unsuspecting opponents.
B-Tier
1) Mercenary

For players new to this game, or RPGs in general, Mercenary might be the class to go for. It is a simple sword and shield archetype, although players can also go with a hammer build for more offence. The issue is while Mercenary is great for PvE, against other players it does not have enough variability and will fall short.
2) Withered Knight

Withered Knight is suitable for players who like aggro builds. The strategy for this archetype is to swing your broadsword and deal massive damage to all the enemies in their range. It can also mark high priority targets and bring them into range. However if you let up the pressure, especially in PvP, the Withered Knight may end up being a target.
3) Blackarrow

As its name indicates, Blackarrow is the bow-and-arrow archetype of the game. This class specializes in burst damage from long range, while also spreading debuffs along the way. The issue with Blackarrow is that it is very frail like Sorcerer, which also has a similar (actually slightly lower) health stat. However, its damage output is significantly lower than Sorcerer.
C-Tier
1) Seer

The Seer is the support class, which sadly leaves it as the weakest class for solo play. It is useful as a healer and crowd control but that is limited to PvP. For playing through the main game by yourself, we recommend using any of the above classes as you will be regularly overwhelmed by enemies due to your poor offensive output.
