As the 2026 Major League Soccer campaign reaches its midpoint, the New England Revolution welcome Atlanta United to Gillette Stadium on Saturday. Both teams had to settle for draws in their respective matchups on Wednesday and will be targeting all three points as they look to further their respective objectives.
After missing out on postseason football in three of the last four years, New England have set out to put those disappointments behind them this season and have made an encouraging start, winning eight of their opening 15 league matches.
Thanks for the submission!
The Revolution headed into the World Cup break on the back of a 1-0 defeat to 10-man Charlotte. While they produced a much-improved display on their return to action in midweek, the Greater Boston club were once again left frustrated after being held to a goalless draw by a Toronto FC side that had gone winless in its previous 10 matches.
For a third successive term, Atlanta United have failed to impress in the first half of the season and now find themselves just two points above rock-bottom in the Eastern Conference.
The Five Stripes returned to action last weekend with a narrow 1-0 defeat away to Nashville SC. They then continued their southeastern road trip on Wednesday with a visit to Charlotte FC at Bank of America Stadium and looked set for more disappointment after falling two goals behind in the first half.
However, showing commendable fighting spirit, Atlanta battled their way back into the contest, with Elias Baez and Miguel Almiron both finding the back of the net to salvage a 2-2 draw.
