Stamp Fairtex secured her Muay Thai return with a win at The Inner Circle 20. The Thai megastar, however, knows that the body she walked into the ring with simply could not match the version she had been training in camp.
The former three-sport ONE world champion edged Mexican striker Cynthia Flores via split decision in their atomweight Muay Thai showdown at The Inner Circle 20 inside Bangkok’s legendary Lumpinee Stadium on Friday, July 3 — pushing her career record to 65-18 and marking her first Muay Thai win in nearly six years.
Stamp Fairtex had wanted to unleash the kind of weapons that have defined her career. The execution, however, simply refused to flow on fight night — particularly when it came to the head kicks she repeatedly searched for.
Speaking to ONE Championship after her triumph, Stamp opened up about exactly what felt off inside the ring.

“She’s tough and really strong. But as for her power? Her kicks and strikes weren’t that heavy. Her punches, though, if they land clean, they definitely pack a punch,” Stamp Fairtex told the world’s largest martial arts organization.
The 28-year-old added, “I actually looked for the head kick several times, but my legs just wouldn’t get up there that day. It just didn’t happen. It felt like I couldn’t pull the trigger on my kicks.”
Stamp Fairtex rates her performance against Cynthia Flores a meager six out of ten
In the same interview with the promotion, Stamp Fairtex further criticized her own display.
When asked on how she would rate her victorious night out against Flores, the Fairtex Training Center athlete graded herself just past the 50 percent mark.
“I’m not satisfied with this fight at all. Not satisfied. My trainer isn’t satisfied either; nobody is satisfied. I’m not satisfied. This fight was a disappointment. I feel disappointed with my performance today. I give myself a six. That’s very low. I’m disappointed,” the 28-year-old added.
