Predicting the winner of each match at WWE Night of Champions 2026

WWE has booked six matches for Night of Champions 2026. Instead of several titleholders putting their belts on the line in Saudi Arabia, only three titles are up for grabs.

Cody Rhodes defends the WWE Championship against both Sami Zayn and Gunther. Ricky Saints challenges Trick Williams for the United States Title. Jade Cargill thinks Tiffany Stratton is easy pickings, so she wants the Women’s US Championship.

The other non-title matches either feature grudges or a title opportunity at SummerSlam. Liv Morgan and IYO SKY meet in the Queen of the Ring Finals. Jey Uso and Oba Femi do the same for the King of the Ring.

Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker hope to settle the score in a steel cage match. Here are predictions for each match on the card for Night of Champions 2026.

#6. United States Title Match – Trick Williams (c) vs. Ricky Saints

This match doesn’t feel like one that should be on the card. It screams go-home SmackDown instead. All Trick has done since winning the title is talk and bury Saints and Carmelo Hayes.

Why should fans think Saints has a chance to beat him? He’s barely picked up a clean victory since joining the main roster. This feels like a way to get Williams onto the card and an easy win.

Trick Willy just won the title at WrestleMania 42, so he won’t be losing it so soon. If he were defending it regularly as the champions did in the US Open Challenge, it could be a possibility.

Prediction – Trick Williams wins.

#5. Another chapter between the Storm and Tiffie Time

Instead of going with different challengers, WWE officials are literally transitioning Jade Cargill from going after the WWE Women’s Championship to pursuing the Women’s US Title.

The main issue is that The Storm’s lackeys, B-Fab and Michin, will surely try to interfere. Stratton has rebuffed Chelsea Green’s moves to form a partnership despite teaming up once.

No matter how she feels, Stratton is fighting an uphill battle. Cargill lost the WWE Women’s Title at WrestleMania and doesn’t need a different title so soon. For that reason, it should be Tiffie Time at Night of Champions.

Prediction: Tiffany Stratton beats the overconfident Jade Cargill.

#4. Steel Cage Match – Bron Breakker vs. Seth Rollins

Will things between Seth Rollins and the Vision truly end at Night of Champions? This will be the third showdown between The Architect and Breakker.

Putting it in a steel cage should protect whoever loses. If Rollins is supposed to challenge for a title at SummerSlam, he should be winning in Saudi Arabia.

WWE could use copious amounts of interference from the Vision in the match to explain a potential loss. Breakker needs to regain the momentum he had before the Royal Rumble and an injury took him out of a prominent spot at WrestleMania 42.

Austin Theory will interfere, and Bronson Reed could return from his own injury at the PLE. The Street Profits could try to back Rollins up. Whatever happens, this match should be full of chaos and carnage.

Prediction: Bron Breakker wins.

#3. Queen of the Ring Finals – Liv Morgan vs. IYO SKY

This shouldn’t even be a question of who wins due to how each woman was treated around WrestleMania. Morgan won the 2026 Women’s Royal Rumble and then the Women’s World Championship from Stephanie Vaquer at the two-night PLE.

Morgan’s title is essentially a prop, as it hasn’t been defended since April 18th. She must be trying to match Cargill’s streak of ineptitude of 100 days. The Judgment Day’s Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez could factor into the outcome.

SKY defeated Rodriguez in the previous round. Morgan has been more worried about her and Dominik’s accomplishments rather than the group’s.

The Prodigy could cost Morgan the win inadvertently or on purpose. However it happens, this must be SKY’s match to lose with the way the tournament played out.

Prediction: IYO SKY is Queen of the Ring.

#2. King of the Ring Finals – Oba Femi vs. Jey Uso

On paper and in reality, Oba Femi should run through Jey Uso like he’s done with everyone not named Brock Lesnar. Few men have lasted more than five minutes with Femi since he debuted on the main roster.

Despite what should happen, WWE is obsessed with the Bloodline, so much so that the last two Royal Rumble winners have come from the group. If Jey wins King of the Ring, it paints a picture that the rest of the roster isn’t important.

It also means the faction will have won three of the last major title opportunities linked to specialty PLEs/tournaments.

Brock Lesnar could attack Femi to set up their third match, but that would be a bad use of Femi’s momentum. Due to caring more about the Bloodline, this could go either way. It shouldn’t.

Prediction: Oba Femi is King of the Ring.

#1. The Triple Threat WWE Championship Match

Cody Rhodes has been the WWE Champion for most of the last two years. Outside of a brief run from John Cena, Triple H has refused to let other stars have meaningful runs with this major title.

Gunther’s random move to SmackDown to challenge Rhodes was odd since he could have easily done the same on RAW with Reigns. This comes down to Rhodes and Zayn.

They’ve had several conversations leading to major issues. It would be cathartic and wonderful for Sami Zayn to finally win the major World Championship that has alluded him for his career.

Despite that, and heading into the first two-night SummerSlam, it feels like WWE will go the safe and predictable route at Night of Champions.

Prediction: Cody Rhodes remains Undisputed Champion.
