Retired WWE star claims Dominik Mysterio does it better than anybody

A retired WWE star recently made a bold claim about Dominik Mysterio. The former Intercontinental Champion is currently a member of The Judgment Day on RAW.

Speaking on his Phenomenally Retro podcast, AJ Styles admitted that he felt unsure about Dominik Mysterio when he first saw him. However, he now believes Dirty Dom is one of the best to ever do it and praised his outlandish mullet and mustache.

“He grew that mustache out and freaking rocking the mullet. Does it better than anybody. His character development and everything that he’s put into it, it works. I’ve said this before. When he first got there, I was like, ‘Oh, I don’t know. I don’t know.’ Then he just blows everybody away. Once he turned on his dad, he turned it all the way up and hasn’t looked back since,” said Styles. (H/T: Fightful)

Dominik Mysterio defeated Bron Breakker, Damian Priest, and Trick Williams in a Fatal 4-Way match on the June 5 edition of SmackDown to advance in the King of the Ring tournament. The Judgment Day star will be squaring off against Oba Femi in the semifinals of the tournament during tomorrow night’s episode of WWE RAW.

AJ Styles comments on losing WWE title match to Dominik Mysterio

Wrestling legend AJ Styles commented on losing an Intercontinental Championship match to Dominik Mysterio last September on WWE RAW.

Speaking on his Phenomenally Retro podcast, AJ Styles noted that he was a team player and was happy to put over the 29-year-old. He also suggested that John Cena might not have had his brief reign as Intercontinental Champion last year if he had won the match.

“Do I wish I could have won in France? I believe the roof may have been blown off the place. But that wasn’t what we needed at the time. So, I’m a team player and whatever we need, I’m gonna do. And here’s the thing, I don’t believe John gets to be the Intercontinental Champion if I beat Dominik. Although, if I did beat Dominik and then John beats me, but the timing wasn’t right.”

It will be interesting to see if Mysterio can defeat Femi tomorrow on WWE RAW to advance in the King of the Ring tournament.
