Shedeur Sanders has reportedly become a target of trade talks, and someone knows one good landing spot for him.
On Monday, Tony Rizzo, a Cleveland Browns insider and analyst for ESPN 850, revealed that teams had started inquiring about whether the Cleveland Browns’ second-year quarterback would be available for a possible trade:
Thanks for the submission!
“The Browns, for whatever reason, don’t think he’s the guy. … I’m sure they’ll say, ‘What are you talking about. He’s in a quarterback battle.’ I’m going to say right now, I don’t think the four quarterbacks are going to camp on July 28. … I think it’s in the best interest of both parties here.”

Upon hearing of these comments, Dez Bryant, a former star wide receiver for the Cowboys, suggested that the New Orleans Saints spend some of their $5.3-billion valuation on recruiting Sanders:
“I think he’s a franchise QB and getting him out of Cleveland will be a plus for him… the Saints would be a great fit for him!”

Browns nearly “sabotaged” Shedeur Sanders with “tough” environment, claims Hall of Famer
2025 served as a massive wake-up call for Shedeur Sanders.
After years of dominating the college scene at Jackson State and Colorado, he debuted in the pros and was immediately tested, throwing fewer touchdowns than interceptions and eating 23 sacks.
And for Hall of Fame wideout Cris Carter, all that was the Browns’ fault. On last week’s episode of his “Fully Loaded” podcast with entrepreneur Shawn Meaike, he began with this admission (starts at 33:04 in the video below):
“I thought he was going to be starting in the second year. I thought he’s going to be a first-round pick, sit a little bit his first year, play a little bit, and then take over his second year. So, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if week number that he’s the starter.”
He continued:
“If you look at what he did last year, you can’t be surprised with the new coach by that jump, and especially given all the information behind the scenes of how his career was almost sabotaged, like the lack of reps, the lack of people believing in him. That’s a tough environment to work in, and then now, he’s splitting the reps.”
The Browns’ preseason begins at the Chicago Bears on August 15. That game kicks off at 1 p.m. ET.
