World ParaVolley welcomes the release of the official LA28 Paralympic Games competition schedule by event, providing the clearest picture yet of how Sitting Volleyball will be showcased at the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games.

The Sitting Volleyball competitions will take place from 17–27 August 2028 at the iconic Long Beach Arena, with both the men’s and women’s tournaments featuring an expanded competition format and more opportunities for teams to compete.

Among the key highlights:

  • 11 days of Sitting Volleyball competition
  • Preliminary matches scheduled across Days 2–7
  • Introduction of a new play-in round on Days 8–9
  • Semifinals on Days 9–10
  • Bronze medal matches on Days 10–11
  • Gold medal matches on Days 11–12
  • The men’s gold medal match will be one of the final three medal events of the Games

The LA28 Paralympic Games are set to be the largest in history, featuring 4,480 athletes across 23 sports and 560 medal events. Sitting Volleyball will once again take centre stage as one of the Paralympic movement’s most exciting and dynamic team sports.

With the qualification pathway already underway and the 2026 Sitting Volleyball World Championships in Hangzhou forming a key milestone on the road to LA28, the countdown to Los Angeles continues to build momentum.
